Advanced Critical Care Echo (ACCE)
The National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) now sponsors a national level certification in advanced critical care echocardiography (ACCE) called the Examination of Special Competence in Critical Care Echocardiography (CCEeXAM). The first exam was administered on January 15, 2019. On 5/8/19 the NBE released the additional requirements for Certification in ACCE beyond passing the examination.
My name is Yonatan Greenstein, MD, FCCP. I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine in Newark New Jersey with strong interest in ACCE. I passed the first ACCE examination and am board certified in Critical Care Echocardiography after fulfilling the other Certification requirements. I started this website in June 2018 to keep like-minded intensivists (both fellows and attendings) informed of developments in the certification process and to help those studying achieve success.
The purpose of this website is to provide information about the NBE ACCE (CCEeXAM) certification process to the critical care community. The website will be updated, as these become available.
